I didn't love the signs but I'm sure some folks would be ok with it. Many rules posted all over the cabin, just be advised. Aluminum mini blinds don't get the room dark. Room does not get dark, told be bring eye masks and bring those if you can't sleep in daylight. It's July, only dark for 4-5 hours per night. This was communicated as being a TINY bathroom but it really is TINY. This is for the WING Cabin, bathroom is TINY. I didn't bring it up again figuring they did what they could but no follow up to see if it was working or not. Called it in and was told it would be looked into, never heard anything back but it never got fixed but we could live without it. Remote, Very far away from town, unpaved road so it takes an extra 15 minutes to get anywhere. You literally have to dodge the potholes. I can't even imagine what this would be like in the winter. Roads leading to this place are horrible, huge potholes and this was in July. Clearly a property that is well cared for, everything is meticulous. Communication and Info pre arrival including various activities 3. I'll try to keep this to bullet points What was GREAT! 1. Our Stay was from July 10th through July 13th, 2022 - in the WING Cabin. It is definitely worth driving the bumpy Lowell Point Road to get to it, which is saying a lot!!… A welcome letter, along with a nice surprise I will not share in this review (or it will not be a surprise to you), awaits when you arrive. The area is quiet and peaceful, so there are no annoying distractions from the beauty that surrounds you. We took the Kenai Fjords Tour and it was fun to see our cabin from the boat as it made its way down the bay in front of Angels Rest. We enjoyed seeing hummingbirds by the flowers on our porch. We enjoyed our walks and brought home some shells as souvenirs which are now on display in our Wisconsin home as a pleasant reminder of our perfect stay. It was so beautiful, and it was fun to see the tide come in and out and how it changed the size of the beach. The best features of the cabin were all the windows that showed off the magnificent view of Resurrection Bay. Anything at all you could possible think of is provided for you, including binoculars. The cabin was immaculate and very well equipped. We stayed in the Gatehouse House cabin for three nights from July 9th to the 12th and had a wonderful stay. Finally, we also had our first ever sight of the Northern Lights one night here, and for that reason alone it will always be special to us.… All 3 waterfront cabins looked great and are within 5 mins drive of Seward, or a 45 minute flat, scenic walk if your going into town for a few beers. I almost didn't write a review as I don't want to give away one of the best finds we've had in years of travelling, but you really must try this place. They were everything you hope for when renting a cabin. We had a lot of contact with the owners before and throughout, whilst at the same time never having our privacy encroached. And the coffee tastes that bit better when you wake up to all that every morning. The bed is so comfortable, the rocker chairs look out over some of the finest scenery you are ever likely to witness. We stayed in the Cloud 9 cabin which I understand was recently renovated and is now a great place to spend time. And the icing on the cake was this place. Instead, we got blue skies and crisp beautiful days. Visited for 5 nights in October when we were told it would be wet, cold and cloudy. The Heron Roost view rooms have satellite TV and DVD players. The three waterfront cabins have smart TVs and DVD players. All units are equipped with UV-C air filters. The Heron Roost has an outdoor deck and a shared kitchen. Evening & early morning beach access for the View Units is via public access, a short walk down the road. The Heron Roost building with the four view units is across Beach Drive from our cabins. All three waterfront cabins have 2-burner stove tops in the kitchenettes, fire rings outside for small campfires, and private beach access. One waterfront cabin is fully Accessible. All units feature kitchenettes and outdoor BBQ grills, free wi-fi, and free on-site parking. Modern and cozy, equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay, and known by Alaskan couples as one of the best places to stay. Angels Rest is the perfect place for that special get-away, honeymoon, anniversary, or vacation. The two mini-suites can sleep three guests.
